  • Can you paint uPVC?
    Yes! Any surfaces can be painted in any colour you want.
  • How long will the job take?
    Depending on the amount of items needing to be sprayed, this will be discussed at your home visit.
  • Will you spray the internal side of the windows and doors as well?
    We do, typically work is only carried out on the external side however should you wish for both sides to be done, please let us know and we can adapt your personal quote to include this too.
  • Is it weather dependant?
    Simply, yes, however we always monitor the forecasts prior to any external job. Should the weather look poor for your job date we will contact you to reschedule and discuss the options.
  • Are your paints waterproof / weatherproof?
    Absolutely! All the paints we use for external surfaces protect against all weather, rain, frost, UV and changes in temperature.
  • Do I need to clean my windows and doors?
    No, that’s what we are here for! We clean and prepare everything we are working on for your ease and to ensure a smooth finish on all surfaces.
  • Do I need to be home whilst the work is carried out?
    Ideally yes however we understand life is busy so we just need you there to let us in then we can complete the works without you present. We do require you to be home when we leave for the works to reviewed together.
  • Will I need to leave my windows and doors open all day?
    There is a drying time however no home / Commercial project will be left unsecured. We always wait to ensure all our work is dry and all areas are closed/locked.
  • Do you provide a guarantee on work carried out?
    Yes, we have a 10 year guarantee on our work, subject to conditions on workmanship and materials. We are all about customer service at Eress, all work is signed off by yourselves so if there is anything you’re not quite happy with then that can be discussed, and we are always happy to come back after a job if something occurs. We have a fantastic customer base and reoccurring jobs from individuals and companies so rest assured, we always deliver top customer service and customer retention.
  • I have a high gloss kitchen, can this be painted?"
    Yes, most surfaces can be painted, we will advise further at your home visit
  • What paint do you use?
    The paint we use is specifically engineered for kitchens so is heat and steam resistant. We use a range of products; single part, two part and water based. We are specialists in knowing what is best for the area we are spraying.
  • As you use specifically engineered paint, does this mean I can’t colour match to my favourite Farrow and Ball colour?"
    We will use or colour match to any popular brand / colour of your choice. Most leading brands have specific kitchen paint, if your choice isn’t showing this as an option then we can help get this made up for you.
  • How long will it take to do my kitchen?
    This is all dependant on the size of your kitchen and the work needed. Time frames will be confirmed at your home visit however the average turnaround time for a kitchen is a week. This includes cupboard door and drawer front removal, spraying at our workshop, spraying on site and reinstallation.
  • Is everything done at my home?
    No, cupboard doors and drawer fronts are removed then taken to our specialist spray booth at the workshop. The carcasses and surrounds will be prepared and sprayed in situ at your home. We then reinstall the cupboard doors and drawer fronts on the final day.
  • Can I use my kitchen during the spraying?
    For the one day of onsite spraying, ideally no, the kitchen will need to out of use for the duration of the spraying and drying time to ensure all works can be done to a high standard. The rest of the time, your kitchen can be used freely and as normal.
  • What preparation do I need to do prior to the kitchen being painted?
    No preparation is needed for us to remove the cupboard doors and drawer fronts. Prior to the onsite spraying, cupboards will need to be emptied as well as the kitchen surfaces to ensure no paint transfers to these areas. They will be covered and protected however the emptier the kitchen, the easier the painting is.
  • Can I change the handles?
    Absolutely, all handles are removed prior to preparation anyway so holes can be filled and new handles added if wanted. If not, we add the existing handles back on once spraying is complete.
  • Are the insides of my cupboards painted?
    Not normally, both sides of the cupboard doors and drawer fronts are and all the surrounds and carcasses. If you want inside painted, please let us know and we can discuss this at your home visit.
  • Do I have to remove internal doors for you?
    No, our specialist team remove all internal doors (if possible) and spray them either at your home or our specialist spray booth.
  • What happens if my doors can’t be removed?
    No problem! We can spray anything in situ, we’ll protect the surrounding areas and cover everything prior to starting any preparation to the doors.
  • Can you spray walls and ceilings or is it just specialist areas?
    Spraying is the modern form of a roller and brush. It can be done on most surfaces, walls and ceilings have a far superior finish if sprayed rather than traditional methods.
  • Can you spray tiles?
    Yes, most surfaces can be sprayed. Please call or drop us an email if your surfaces hasn’t been covered in our FAQ’s.
  • I have an old piece of furniture I love but it seems tired, can you help?"
    Absolutely! Over the years, furniture can take the hit of constant or even infrequent use. At the workshop we can prepare the furniture by sanding back years of lacquer and marks, and either varnish or paint to your specification.
  • I’ve bought a new item of furniture which I thought would match my current colour scheme but its wrong, can you work on new pieces?"
    Most definitely! We can colour match wall paint for furniture use to provide a finished look to most types of furniture. Alternatively, if you’re looking for a contrast or simply fancy a change, look at our Bespoke Furniture project for a one-off piece we’ve done – the yellow just pops!
  • Can you paint roll top baths?
    Yes, we have done a lot of baths. They’re expensive to replace so instead they can be removed by your plumber, bought to our workshop and we can give them a makeover ready for your new bathroom. Not only cost efficient but also quicker than ordering an entirely new bath!
  • What type of commercial work do you carry out?
    We can do any commercial work, whether this is for a company to contract out to us for specialist spraying they can’t do or bespoke items that can’t be done using traditional methods, to commercial properties exteriors, offices or large scale deluxe house developers. We have a strong team and can complete all scale of jobs.
  • Would you do regular work for my company depending on demand?
    Yes, we currently work with several companies completing work from them using our specialist techniques, alongside our domestic customers.
